Planted a tree for the baby
I planted a tree (lower left corner of pic) to mark the year our baby will be born. Its a blue spruce so hopefully our child won't be traumatized when I have to chop it down in 20 years because it will get pretty big!

Amanda and "Chauncey" at the Dublin Irish Festival. Just so everyone knows, "Chauncey" is the nickname my brother gave our unborn child. Sliante!

Good morning and welcome to our blog! We had our 20 week appointment yesterday and everything was great. As you can see, we posted a picture of our growing little treasure. Sorry about the blurriness, but hey, not everybody can go out and buy an eye-fone or an ATC Incredible with Droid software and an 8 mega pixel camera! Anyway, the doc spent about 5 to 10 minutes on the ultrasound, basically giving us a "tour" of our baby. Everything looked great. First he showed us the heart, which was beating strongly, then he zoomed around to other points of interest. The baby was "looking" right at us, and even moved around a bit. The coolest part was when the doc had the ultrasound to the side, looking at the baby's head in profile. To the right of the head was an empty space, where suddenly a tiny hand appeared and looked like it was waving at us. It was so neat to see all of the little bones in the hand. I'm sure the big question everyone has is "did you find out what its going to be?" No. Being respectful of my wife's wishes and aware of the consequences to my health if I were to cross her, we decided to wait and be surprised. I'm pretty sure the doctor knew though, since he wispered something under his breath. Other than that, all test results were good and the baby's development is right on schedule! Thanks for checking in!
