The Gavin Hat-Trick

Well it's Hockey season and I thought this story would make for good reading!
I got up at 5:30 this morning, as usual, to get Gavin fed and changed and also get myself ready for work. Gavin must have decided that it was time to put a mark on history and he scored a hat-trick! For those of you that don't know, a hat-trick is when one player scores three goals in a single hockey game. Here's how Gavin achieved this goal in his own way:

Goal No. 1: During the feeding, he was gassy and really moving around a lot. As he moved his head, he gagged himself on the bottle, then puked his breakfast all over himself and me. Luckily the burp cloth soaked up the majority of the formula. At this point he became disinterested in the bottle so I put him back in his crib and got ready for work.

Goal No. 2: I tried to feed him again but he still wasn’t interested so I checked his diaper. Full of #2.

Goal No. 3: At some point while I cleaned him up and changed his diaper (and I was holding his legs in the air), he peed all over his clothes so I had to change those too.

At this point (6:30 a.m.) I tried to feed him again but he was again disinterested so I woke up Amanda so she could try, and left for work like a good husband! So there you have it. While it’s not a Gordie Howe hat-trick (goal, assist, fight), it was a Gavin hat-trick with a puke, a poop, and a pee (with the added bonus of soaking his clothes) all within regulation (60 minutes). A ton of thanks to my wife because I still made it to work on time.

First shots

Little man was so good today at his doctors appointment!  He cried for a few minutes after the shots but the tough little trooper quickly calmed down.

Risky Business

Mama took a gamble and lost last night before Gavin's bath.  She thought she could walk around with a pantsless G while she readied the bath. Wrong!
